The Extended Care Unit

The Center for healing from Sexual Compulsivity and Trauma

  • The Extended Care Unit (ECU) is a free- standing facility located across the street from the KeyStone Center. The unit has 14 beds for men and women who are in the process of healing from issues surrounding sexual compulsivity and trauma.
  • Length of stay varies in this 12 -step based program depending on individual needs and completion of specific therapeutic tasks.

Admission Criteria
Sexually addicted or cross-addicted persons who fulfill the following criteria are appropriate for treatment:

  • Behaviors treated at the ECU include the following:
  • Compulsive masturbation
  • Affairs, one night stands, prostitutes and escorts
  • Anonymous sex, public sex, lewd conduct
  • Obsession with pornography
  • Compulsive sexual episodes
  • Chronic affairs
  • Substance addiction related to sexual behavior
  • Compulsive telephone sex
  • Internet sex
  • Exhibitionism and voyeurism
  • Dangerous and self-destructive sexual practices
